A large part of what I do involves helping Western brands enter China, as well as Chinese brands cross over into Western markets. For Kaibo, a startup based in Shanghai, I was tasked with designing a Chinese product based on Eastern design principles. Once completed, I began to lead the team of designers to adapt the product for a Western audience. When not working on products, I often help Clients adapt their brand, decks and websites for both Eastern and Western markets as well.

Design is at the heart of everything I do
Approach

Creative and Design are opposite ends, yet many assume them to be similar. My craft is intentionally rooted in Design which, unlike Creative, often builds on the familiar.

I design familiar interfaces that in turn promote better, more relatable user experiences. These experiences are conversion-optimised - I prefer engaging in results-oriented design.

Amidst the debate on whether function triumphs over form, I strongly believe in the equal importance of both form and function. This marriage is evident in the designs that I craft. They must look good. They must work well.

The true measure of a Designer lies in his ability to adapt to a given context. I do not require briefs, but I can also take a brief. I am open to the abstract yet also drawn to details. For at the end, the difference between good to great may be found in the most discerning of details.
